RE: Embedded view from a different database - how? ~Yoshi Nimrebergflar 27.Aug.03 08:50 AM a Web browser Domino Designer 6.0.2 CF1Windows 2000, Windows XP
Hi
I have tried this also and found it sometimes very difficult to find the right database. There is no way, you can chose the right view from another database with a formula either. Very annoying, when you have server and local replicas. But I just had the idea, to use a subform. It worked for me in my test database.
Create a subform with the embedded view in the source database and embedd that subform in your target database. You can chose that subform with a formula. That part I have not tried yet. Would be nice to know, if you had any success.
cheers

PS: There was somewhere a comment from Lotus that choosing a embedded view by formula would be a nice feature, but for a later release.
